Does marketing ever end?

Marketing in my view never ends! The word marketing should be replaced with Interaction. Does interaction ever end or should it? Just like a child's knowledge is solidified through repetition so it is with the market! Out of sight is out of mind but market presence strategies can be achieved with minimal expense both on time and resources and also setting these strategies to bring back a return. It's called nesting strategy.

Analogy: the farmer produces products, it isn't enough what he generates, he creates a market "retail" zone himself or with others. Then he creates a restaurant/open day events to make the market see what can be done with his produce, he inserts and sponsors other innovations that would remind and increase the pr he can get to retain presence and off the strategies go on and on.

Have a look at these Russian dolls its the same doll but interactive, this is Promotion "a fit to different taste". Now there are black barbie dolls. Marketers are busy looking for what is happening in the world of emotions and devising promotional ways to deliver.

Marketers jobs within a company is to go out and see who is who or what is what so their companies have news on where and when and how they can fit in their brands.

Sales guys push the final products made into the market from the findings marketers find! People shouldn't confuse the jobs of marketers and sales men, they are totally different. This is what research and development is about.

Woolworths were initially into clothing and now diversified into foods but they are still under retail, they are just a Warehouse for various products coming out in the market and branding it under their name. They sign partnerships with farmers, fashion houses etc. Retail is Warehousing + financial administration function which the banks take care of.
